Office at Beach Street

A workplace for a 14-person law practice occupying the upper floor of a colonial-era building on Beach Street. The brief required equal acoustic privacy across all working positions and a single shared meeting space that could host clients without leaving the floor.

We organised the plan as a single perimeter loop of acoustic timber screens, with workstations facing inward across a central library wall. The meeting room sits behind a sliding panel of the same timber and reads as part of the wall when not in use. Carpet, soft furnishing, and lining materials were specified primarily for absorption.
